Kusuri Fluke M

Product Description

Kusuri Fluke M is a 50mg/g Flubendazole-based treatment designed to eliminate Gill and Body Flukes in koi and other coldwater ornamental fish. It is completely safe for use with your pond’s biological filtration and can be applied at any temperature. Feeding can continue as normal during treatment.

Kusuri Fluke M is a gentle yet highly effective medication that is non-invasive and far less toxic than treatments containing Malachite Green or Formalin. The Flubendazole is absorbed by the parasites and destroys their digestive system, ultimately starving them. For persistent infestations, a mucus scrape and microscopic identification are recommended before applying a second treatment.

This product is suitable for all coldwater ornamental fish, but should not be used on tropical species or Stingrays. Once opened, it should be used within three months. In addition to treating flukes, Fluke M can also eradicate pond snails, intestinal worms, and helminths. For external parasites such as Lice, Anchor Worm, and Argulus, apply three doses seven days apart. Use above 15°C for the best results; if water temperature is around 10°C, a second dose may be required.

If your fish show signs of an excessive mucus layer, it’s recommended to dose with Chloramine T at 15g per 1,000 gallons of pond water about 24 hours before using Fluke M. This helps reduce mucus buildup where flukes often become trapped. Always check your pH and KH levels before applying treatments. Chloramine T can be toxic in soft water—if your pH is below 7 and general hardness is under 6°dH, reduce the Chloramine T dose by 75%. Fluke M itself is safe to use alongside salt.

Dosage Instructions

For treatment, use 11.8g per 1,000 gallons (4,546 litres) of pond water. The medication remains active for seven days and works best in temperatures above 15°C. In cases of heavy infestation, a second dose after seven days may be necessary. Alternatively, you may follow up with Kusuri Fluke P or Kusuri Fluke S after the initial treatment.

How to Use

To apply Fluke M, first shake the sachet thoroughly, then measure out the required amount for your pond volume. Dissolve the powder in boiling water, stir well, and allow it to cool. Slowly add the mixture to the pond return over the course of an hour. It is advisable to turn off your UV clarifier during treatment. Fluke M is fully compatible with salt. Suitable for use with drum filters.

Always read and follow the health and safety guidelines on the packet. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product. Wear disposable gloves and suitable eye protection. Store in the original container between 12°C and 25°C, away from children and pets. Fluke M is intended solely for animal and pond water treatment and should not be used in combination with other medications.
