Based in Nottingham and founded on 28th September 2020, our mission is to make high-quality Japanese koi accessible to enthusiasts across the UK.
We proudly source our koi directly from Japan, working only with trusted breeders who meet our high standards for health, genetics, and beauty. Each fish is carefully selected and where possible accompanied by breeder certification, ensuring authenticity and quality.
JS KOI is a fully licensed business, holding a 4-star pet licence that reflects our commitment to the highest standards of animal welfare and customer service. Our facilities are designed to provide the best possible care for our koi while they await their new homes.
We’re a family-run company led by John (Managing Director) and Simon (Sales Director) — a dedicated team of koi enthusiasts who personally oversee every aspect of the business, from sourcing and sales to the wellbeing and care of koi.
Looking ahead, we’re planning to invest in parent koi and establish our own UK-based koi farm within the next five years. This vision reflects our ongoing dedication to growing not just our business, but also the koi community here in the UK.
