Product Description

NT Labs Permanganate Dip is an effective treatment designed to tackle a wide range of external parasites and related issues in pond fish, including fish lice, leeches, Costia, Trichodina, Chilodonella and ulcer infections. It is suitable for use either as a whole-pond treatment or as a concentrated dip for individual fish requiring targeted care.

Use this treatment when fish show signs of irritation or parasitic activity, such as flicking, rubbing against surfaces, gasping, or the presence of visible parasites. The product helps clear infections and supports the healing of ulcerated areas when applied correctly.

How to Use

1. Test Water First

Check water quality using NT Labs Test Kits before treatment.

2. Whole Pond Treatment

• Pre-mix the correct dose in a clean bucket of pond water.
  
• Distribute evenly across the pond surface.
  
• Turn off UV clarifiers until the pink colour disappears.
  
• Ensure strong aeration throughout treatment.
  
• After 7 days, perform a partial water change before using any other medication.
  

3. Dip Treatment for Individual Fish

• Add the correct dose to a bucket of clean pond water.
  
• Gently place the fish into the dip and aerate the water.
  
• Do not exceed 30 minutes.
  
• Always supervise the fish and remove immediately if distressed.
  
• If further treatment is required, confirm the diagnosis before repeating.
  

4. Observation

Carry out treatments at a time when you can closely monitor the fish and intervene if needed.

Warnings

• Do not use on orfe, rudd, tench, sturgeon or sterlets.
  
• Avoid use in temperatures above 22°C or during hot, humid or stormy weather.
  
• Do not mix with other medications.
  
• Never leave fish unattended during dip treatments.
  
• Dip treatments must not exceed 30 minutes.
