Adult Koi grow more slowly and start to develop their body shape and colour. It is therefore essential to change their feed, making sure they are given the ingredients they need for this stage of life.

Kiyomizu Adult Koi Food contains prebiotics and probiotics to strengthen the health and vitality of Koi.

The Koi hobby is in continuous development thanks to improved knowledge about feed, water quality and pond design. Over the past few decades, many types of Koi feed have been developed, including special food for growth & extra growth, colour, health & probiotics, winter (wheat germ) etc.

It is usual for lots of domestic animals such as puppies and kittens to be given special food. As animals grow into adults and later in life, when they grow older, their nutritional requirements change. Each stage of life requires a different kind of food to ensure good health and a vital old age. This is no different with Koi.
For this reason, Kiyomizu Koi Food offers a choice of three balanced formulas that provide Koi with exactly what they need at every stage of their lives. Or, perhaps even more importantly, they are prevented from getting too much of the nutrients that do more harm than good at certain stages of their lives.

Feeding Koi according to their age-related needs also optimises the water quality. Although good quality feed is extremely important, water quality is equally important to health and growth.

Kiyomizu Koi Food contains special ingredients that promote optimum digestion and absorption of vital nutrients. The composition of Kiyomizu Koi Food helps maintain water quality and reduce organic waste.

In developing Kiyomizu Koi Food, the product was built from scratch around this concept using our existing knowledge of Koi and the best ingredients currently available to provide Koi with exactly the right blend required at their age. The latest and most innovative developments have been deployed in the manufacture of our feed, resulting in this new standard in Koi nutrition.


Kiyomizu Koi Food consists of:

  • BIO-MOS (mannan oligosaccharides)
  • organic trace elements
  • astaxanthin
  • easily digestible protein
  • prebiotics and probiotics
  • organically bonded vitamins and minerals
  • special algae products - essential for the production of Omega 3
  • Montmorillonite clay (bentonite)
  • yeast extracts
  • ingredients to improve digestion

The size of Kiyomizu Koi Food pellets is designed to suit the "target audience". If the pond contains Koi of different sizes, we recommend starting with the largest pellets and waiting until the bigger Koi have started feeding before introducing the smaller pellets.
Feed once to three times a day.

Do not feed the fish more than they eat in five minutes. Remove any uneaten feed.
When the water temperature is less than 10ºC, Koi have a reduced appetite and slow digestion and should be fed accordingly.

Do not feed Koi if the water temperature drops below 5ºC.

Dry Goods

We have a 14-day return policy on dry goods, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. If returned via online order please provide us with the order number.

To start a return, you must contact us via telephone or email via sales@js-koi.co.uk. The customer is responsible for any shipping charges incurred during the returns process. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 7 Fleam Road, Nottingham, NG11 8PJ.

After leaving our premises, JS KOI Limited accept no responsibility for Koi purchased and cannot be returned due to our strict bio security measures.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, providing as much information as possible using photographic and/or video evidence where applicable, so that we can evaluate the issue as quickly as possible and make it right.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund has been approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at sales@js-koi.co.uk.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Shipping Policy:

Deliveries for both Koi and Dry Goods are currently available for UK Mainland only.
Collection of Koi can be made via appointment.

Koi Deliveries:

Koi will be shipped using APC overnight shipping service. Express delivery costs a minimum of £29.95 per box, subject to size and Koi quantity. The delivery service provided is a pre afternoon 'Next Working Day' delivery on koi only.

Once an order is placed, JS KOI will notify you of available delivery dates. Our dispatch days are Tuesday-Thursday and delivery days Wednesday-Friday. Confirmation may be required due to signature upon delivery. If an order is placed on Wednesday, this will be added to the deliveries for the next day or following week if requested. If you have opted for delivery, we will contact you via email to confirm delivery availability prior to shipping your order. Koi will only be actioned for delivery if confirmation is provided to us by phone or email that a recipient will be at the specified delivery address on the agreed date of delivery to sign for the Koi in person. Please ensure that you provide a valid email address and contact number for deliveries.

All Koi purchased with us between 15/11/2024 and 28/02/2025 can be wintered within our facilities at no extra cost until 31/03/2025. After this date, there is a holding fee of £15 per week on Koi purchased between the specified dates. Customers will be contacted in due course to arrange collection or delivery.

Please check with your local APC courier to ensure Live Fish can be delivered to the specified address prior to purchase.

We offer several different payment methods including major providers like Mastercard, Visa, PayPal, Shop Pay, American Express, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

What shipping methods does JS KOI offer?

JS KOI delivers exclusively to the UK Mainland. Koi are shipped via overnight service, while dry goods arrive within 1-3 business days using express delivery.

Can I make changes to my order after it’s been placed?

We do everything we can to fulfill orders quickly and unfortunately cannot make updates after an order has been placed. These changes include removing or adding products and/or changing the delivery address. If a mistake has been made with your order information, it’s quickest to create a new order with the correct information and then let our Customer Service.
