The Evolution Aqua 220+ is a high-performance pond filtration system that combines advanced mechanical and biological filtration into one easy-to-maintain unit. Designed for koi and ornamental ponds, the 220+ delivers exceptional water clarity, improved waste handling, and reliable biological performance.

Building on the success of the Nexus range, the 220+ features an upgraded Eazy filter and enhanced media configuration, allowing your pond to mature faster while maintaining consistently clean and healthy water.

Advanced Mechanical & Biological Filtration:

Water enters the Evolution Aqua 220+ through the inlet and flows into the inner chamber, where a vortex effect slows the water and allows heavier solids to settle. It then passes through the Eazy filter, which contains a static bed of K1 Micro media. This stage captures fine particles efficiently, delivering outstanding mechanical filtration.

From here, water moves into the outer chamber where a moving bed of K1 Media provides powerful biological filtration. Beneficial bacteria colonise the protected surface area of the media, breaking down harmful ammonia and nitrite into safer nitrate before the clean water is returned to the pond.

How the Evolution Aqua 220+ Works

1. Water enters the inner chamber and slows, allowing heavy solids to settle.
   
2. Fine particles are removed in the Eazy filter using static K1 Micro media.
   
3. Water flows into the outer chamber for biological treatment via moving K1 Media.
   
4. Clean water exits the system and returns to the pond.
   

During cleaning, air is diverted into the Eazy filter to agitate the media, releasing trapped waste which is then discharged through the waste outlet.

Reliable Biological Performance

The moving bed chamber contains K1 Media, where beneficial bacteria thrive and convert harmful ammonia and nitrite into nitrate. For ponds with higher stocking levels or feeding rates, additional K1 Media can be added to increase biological capacity.

For best results, maintain a pond pH of 7.0 or above. As with all biological filters, performance may reduce in colder temperatures.
