Kusuri
Kusuri Fluke P
Kusuri Fluke P is a liquid-based 5% Praziquantel medication formulated to eradicate Gill Flukes, Body Flukes, and Tapeworms. This gentle yet effective treatment is safe for use at any temperature and will not harm the beneficial bacteria in your filtration system. Fish can continue to feed normally during dosing.
Designed as a single-dose treatment, Fluke P may require a second application after 7 days in cases of heavy infestation. Alternatively, Kusuri Fluke M or Fluke S can be used after the initial 7-day period for continued parasite control.
Fluke P may cause excessive foaming in ponds using a Bakki Shower system.
For ponds with a thick mucus layer, it is advisable to dose with Kusuri Chloramine T at 15g per 1,000 gallons approximately 24 hours before treatment. This helps reduce excess mucus, allowing Fluke P to work more effectively on embedded parasite
Product Description
Kusuri Fluke P is a liquid-based 5% Praziquantel treatment formulated to eradicate Gill Flukes, Body Flukes, and Tapeworms in koi and other coldwater ornamental fish. This highly effective medication is safe to use without harming the beneficial bacteria in your filter and can be applied at any temperature. Feeding may continue throughout the treatment period.
Fluke P is generally used as a single-dose treatment, but in cases of heavy infestation, a second dose after seven days may be necessary. Alternatively, Kusuri Fluke M or Kusuri Fluke S can be used after seven days as follow-up treatments.
Please note that Fluke P may cause excessive foaming in ponds equipped with Bakki Showers. In this case, we recommend using Kusuri Fluke S as an alternative.
If your fish have an excessive mucus layer, dose with Chloramine T at 15g per 1,000 gallons of pond water approximately 24 hours before using Fluke P. This will help reduce the mucus membrane where flukes can sometimes become trapped, improving the treatment’s effectiveness.
Caution
Before use, always check pH and KH levels. Chloramine T can be toxic in soft water. If your pH is below 7.0 (acidic) and your general hardness is below 6°dH, reduce the Chloramine T dosage by 75%.
Do not use Fluke P with salt.
