NT Labs Filter Bugs – Boost Biological Filtration for a Healthy Pond

When to Use:

Use Filter Bugs when establishing a new filter, at the start of the pond season, after water changes, post-medication, when adding new fish, or whenever ammonia or nitrite levels are elevated.

How It Works:

This easy-to-use liquid formulation contains a blend of Nitrosomonas, Nitrobacter, Nitrospira, and supporting bacterial cultures that repopulate your filter with nitrifying organisms, promoting efficient biological filtration and stable water quality.

How to Use:

1. Test Water: Measure water parameters accurately with NT Labs Test Kits.
   
2. Measure Filter Bugs: Dose according to pond size.
   
3. Add to Biological Media: Pour directly onto your filter’s biological media.
   
4. Switch Off UV Filtration: Turn off UV for at least 24 hours to allow bacteria to colonize effectively.
   
5. Recommended Usage: Use after substantial water changes, pond cleaning, start of season, after medication, or when adding new fish. Can be applied weekly or more frequently if desired.
   

Compatibility:

Safe to use with Pond Salt Plus at 'General Tonic' or 'Anti-stress' levels.

Warning:

Ammonia and nitrite are toxic to fish. Ensure concentrations are at 0 ppm before adding Filter Bugs, and address the cause of water quality issues to avoid fish stress.
