Aqua Forte
AquaForte Ultra-Sieve MIDI Max Flow 2500GPH
The AquaForte Ultra-Sieve MIDI is a compact, gravity-fed pre-filter designed to remove fine debris before water reaches your main filtration system. With a 300-micron stainless screen and a built-in floating gate that automatically adjusts flow, it provides reliable, low-maintenance mechanical filtration for ponds up to 2,500 GPH.
Product Description
The AquaForte Ultra-Sieve MIDI is a high-efficiency mechanical pre-filter engineered for gravity-fed pond systems. Designed to intercept debris before it reaches your pump or biological filter, the unit uses a precision-crafted 300-micron stainless steel screen that effectively strains out fine waste particles.
Incoming water enters through a large 110 mm inlet, allowing smooth gravity flow from bottom drains or skimmer lines. As the pump draws water from the lower chamber, the self-adjusting floating weir automatically regulates the incoming flow, ensuring stable water levels and uninterrupted filtration.
Compact in size yet highly capable, the Ultra-Sieve MIDI supports flow rates up to 2,500 GPH (approx. 12,000 L/h), making it ideal for koi ponds, water gardens, and filtration bays where space is limited. The strong polypropylene body is built for outdoor durability, and the screen removes easily for fast, simple cleaning.
Whether used ahead of a bead filter, moving bed, or biological system, the Ultra-Sieve MIDI provides consistent, reliable performance and significantly reduces maintenance on downstream filtration stages.
INSTALLATION & USE GUIDE
1. Set the Position
Place the Ultra-Sieve MIDI at or just above pond water level.
Gravity-fed filtration only works correctly when the sieve is level with the pond surface.
2. Connect the Inlet
Attach a 110 mm gravity line from your bottom drain or skimmer.
Straight, unobstructed pipework will give the most stable flow.
3. Attach the Pump
Connect your pump to the lower outlet using the supplied 2" thread or 63 mm fitting.
Pump the clean water onward to your next filter stage or waterfall.
4. Automatic Flow Control
The internal floating gate adjusts itself as the pump draws water, preventing water level drops and keeping the screen consistently supplied.
5. Normal Operation
Water flows over the 300-micron screen, separating debris on the surface while clean water collects below and is pumped out.
6. Cleaning
For quick cleaning:
- Open the 2″ waste port to flush trapped debris away.
For a thorough clean:
- Remove the stainless-steel screen
- Rinse with a hose
- Reinstall in seconds
