Product Description

Kusuri Fluke-S is a 50% Praziquantel-based powder medication formulated to effectively eradicate gill flukes, body flukes, and tapeworms in koi and other coldwater ornamental fish. This gentle yet powerful treatment is safe for biological filters, allowing you to treat your pond without harming beneficial bacteria. It can be used at any water temperature, making it suitable for year-round parasite control.

During treatment, you can continue feeding your fish as normal. Fluke-S is typically applied as a single-dose treatment, but in cases of heavy infestation, a second dose may be required after 7 days. Alternatively, many koi keepers follow up with Kusuri Fluke-M after 7 days for a broader-spectrum effect.

If your koi show excessive mucus buildup, Kusuri recommends pre-treating with Chloramine T at 15 g per 1,000 gallons, 24 hours before using Fluke-S. This helps reduce the mucus layer where body flukes can sometimes hide, improving treatment penetration and results.

Before dosing, always check your pond’s pH and KH levels. Chloramine T can be toxic in soft or acidic water. If your pH is below 7.0 and general hardness (GH) is under 6°dH, reduce the Chloramine T dose by 75%. Do not use with salt, and always follow the manufacturer’s directions carefully.

Dosage Instructions

• Use 4 g per 1,000 litres (220 gallons) of pond or tank water.
• Ensure the full dose is added and do not overdose, as this can cause fish fatalities.
• For best results, treat when the water temperature is above 15 °C.

• Store in the original container between 2 °C and 30 °C.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• For pond fish use only – not for human or veterinary use.
• Always wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling.
• Do not use alongside other medications or with salt.
• Use within 12 months of opening.
• Avoid eating, drinking, or smoking while handling pond chemicals.
